Bone Broth

Simple and nourishing broth for the postpartum mom

Ingredients

  • 1-3 organic chicken carcasses or beef bones
  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1-3 garlic cloves
  • any veggies (carrot, celery, parsley, ginger,etc)
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • water, filtered

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients in a pot or Instant Pot and cover with water.
  • If using the Instant Pot, close the lid and click Broth, and set for 4 hours.
    Let it work its magic.
  • If using a regular pot, bring it to a simmer and keep it there for 12-24 hours.
  • When done simmering, remove the bones and veggies and place liquid into jars.
  • Let it cool on the counter before storing it in the fridge.

Notes

Broth is very versatile. You can add any veggies you would like or add any spices to it. Try different ingredients and see what you like best. But the base should always stay the same, which is your bones, salt, apple cider vinegar, and water. Experiment and enjoy!
